Hello  and welcome to my site!  I'm a freelance travel/features writer and  photographer who should have played in the midfield for West Ham United and  outside half for Wales and The Lions.

I write about far flung isolated countries, conventional and small ship expedition cruising, fascinating people, birds and my beloved Northumberland. 

I do a lot of round ups (my favourite) for my clients but also genreal features. Now that I'm in my 70s and on my own I'm also interested in solo and accessible travel across all ages but especially for the older generation.
